Chapter 37: I Promise You

~ Willow ~ I am thankful for Brax’s oversize shirt. If it wasn’t big enough to tuck between my legs as I rode on his back on our way back to the castle, I would have never let him fly me back. We landed on Brax’s balcony in the highest tower of the castle. He opened the sliding door and allowed me to step in. I looked at my hands, feet, and arms. I must look like a mess. I am covered in blood. I turned toward Brax who was standing in his doorway looking at me. My throat went dry at the sight of him. He had removed his shirt and started toward the fireplace to relight it. “I’ll just take a quick shower.” I said. “Sure, help yourself.” He replied to me with a cheeky grin that set my body on fire.
