Eldridge's death flashed in Augustin's mind, and he clung to it like a lifeline. It didn't matter who Matthew was because murder meant Matthew was done for. Acting like he had found the Holy Grail, he pointed at Matthew and shouted at Brinley, "He's a murderer, Mr. Mireless. He killed Eldridge. Arrest him now." Brinley dismissively glanced at Augustin and grunted. "Even if he killed you, you deserved it, let alone Eldridge." Augustin's jaw practically dropped as he looked at Brinley, his face screaming disbelief. That was when it finally hit him that Matthew was someone important. Realizing he had messed with someone above his league, he couldn't help but ask, "Who is he? I need to know." Brinley scoffed. "You don't deserve to know."
