_Leah's POV_
I woke the next morning to the soft light filtering through my curtains. I blinked a few times, trying to shake off the remnants of the vivid dream from the night before. The memory of the wolves bowing to me sent a shiver down my spine. What did it all mean? I sat up, my heart still racing, and glanced around my room. It felt strange to be alone in such a quiet space.
After a moment of hesitation, I slipped out of bed and made my way to the kitchen. The scent of something delicious wafted through the air. As I entered, I found Susan bustling around, preparing breakfast.
“Good morning, Leah!” Susan greeted me with a warm smile. “How did you sleep?”
“Morning,” I replied, rubbing my eyes. “Not great. I had a strange dream.” I hesitated, unsure how to explain the dream about the wolves and Kayden.
“What kind of dream?” Susan asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
