Chapter 64
Author's POV
Moira was still thinking about who had moved in and would occupy the land across from her grandmother's house. However, no one there cared. For them, having someone move in meant they would have new neighbors, and that was a good thing.
Her grandmother hadn't had anyone to talk to for a long time, except when they gathered there. The servants only served her and were reluctant to talk to her unless she asked, but that was rare.
"I invited you here for a reason, Moira," said Moira's uncle, interrupting her thoughts about their new neighbors.
Moira turned and looked at her uncle with a furrowed brow. "So? Is there something important?"
"It's about Grandma's birthday," he whispered.
"No need to whisper, I've heard it many times. You kids are so naughty. I told you not to surprise this old woman. I'm too old to blow out candles and open big presents," her grandmother replied, while sitting in her rocking chair knitting.
