His kingdom Our drive back to his kingdom was hectic. It was the longest and most uncomfortable ride I'd ever had.  Luckily enough, I had Jenny with me. She was riding in a different car with the Draven guy. Still, knowing she was close gave me a breath of fresh air, and was my only consolation in the suffocating tension that hovered in the car. I nibbled my fingers as I listened to the King going on and on about being my mate and the great plans he had for me in his kingdom. Nothing about his extravagant plans excited me. On the contrary, they made my toes curl and made my heart race. King Ace might have helped me with my revenge, but he was just as monster as the others. A bigger monster, if I was being honest.  Staying with him could be more agonizing than my stay at the Packhouse.
