Chapter FOURTEEN

Lusia I closed my eyes waiting for the impact of Kiara’s hand but it didn’t come. After a few seconds of waiting in vain, I opened my eyes and saw her hand held in mid-air. A strong, familiar fragrance filled my nose and my body grew rigid as I recognized who it was immediately. King Dane. King Dane was holding Kiara’s hand and his face was twisted in anger. I could see the rags in his icy blue eyes. My heart was thumping hard against my chest as I stared at him. I never thought that he would come to my rescue. But here he was, being my knight in shining armor. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” He asked Kiara. His voice was cold. Kiara was baffled by this. Her mouth was slightly parted as she stared at King Dane who was still holding her hand. I could bet that she didn’t expect this to happen. A few minutes ago, I stepped out of the room for the first time since I was brought here. The feeling had been exciting. I felt free and tried my best to stay near the room but I got los
