Lusia
Confidence was a powerful tool. It could make you believe you could do anything, and it could also make you get yourself into a mess you can’t easily escape. That was the mess I found myself in now.
I could see the fury on King Dane’s face as he glared at me. That had struck a nerve. It was a brave decision to accuse him of such a thing. I wasn’t certain that he had never been put through this by anybody else. The expression on his face said it all. He was stunned, angry, and confused. A mixture that created an emotional collage on his face.
There were signs. There was a possibility. That night, I saw a figure flee the room as I came down the stairs. I couldn't tell who it was because it was dark. I couldn't see the face. But I was certain about one thing then. That was my parents’ murderer. There was no doubt about it. And now, I was faced with the prospect that it could have been King Dane, the Lycan king who had been the enemy of my pack for so many years.
