Nothing was more relieving to see the castle once again. The place I once dreaded, was now my place of solitude. I considered myself safe whenever I was at the castle. That was also because King Dane was always here to protect me.
The castle stood tall and regal against the morning sky, bathed in golden sunlight that made its stone walls shimmer like something out of a dream. I had only ever seen it under the cover of darkness, its silhouette looming ominously against the moonlit sky. But now, with the sun’s warmth illuminating every turret and archway, I realized how much I had underestimated its beauty. The grand towers gleamed, their spires piercing the sky like guardians of the land. The vast courtyard, which once seemed eerie under flickering torchlight, was now alive with color—lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and the gentle sparkle of dewdrops clinging to the grass.
