Chapter SEVEN
Lusia
Morning couldn’t come any sooner. I never thought that I would be relieved to see the sight of the morning light that bathed the room. I was lying on the king-sized bed with my eyes wide open. It had been that way for the last four hours. I couldn't shut my eyes or get any sleep. I was busy thinking, contemplating how I got myself into this mess.
It shouldn’t have been this way. I shouldn’t have to worry about running away because I just got here, but I was wrong. I wanted to go back to the Silvermoon pack. I never thought I would think about this. Even though I had gone through a lot there, it was much better than this. At least I wouldn’t have to be worried about the Lycan king and what he was going to do to me the next time he walked in through that door.
His last words last night had been terrifying. It made my mind race all through the remaining hours of the night. I feared for my life. Maybe I overestimated his kindness because of the way he had handled me in his car. I was
