Ava’s POV I was never heartbroken because I never wanted to be near him. Oliver was the only reason he was given a chance. I told her everything that had happened between Lucas and me, and she felt bad, saying she was the one who forced me to accept Lucas as a friend. “It’s alright, Oliver. It was never your fault, and as you can see, I’m okay. He never got to me, and no one can ever hurt me, so stop blaming yourself,” I said. “Are you sure?” she asked me, feeling worried. “I only want you to be happy, Ava.” “I’m happy every time I’m with you,” I said. “I want to tell you something.” “What is it?” she asked. “I’ve been feeling uneasy lately. I’m experiencing some sort of emotion. It feels strange.” “You just need to relax. I’m right here with you. Nothing bad will happen to you with me by your side,” Oliver assured me. “Thank you, Oliver,” I said as we slept off.
