Stella stared at her phone, completely stunned, her grip tightening without even realizing it. Weren't they supposed to be getting divorced? Why on earth would he suddenly go public with their marriage like this? What game was he playing? Her voice shook as she spoke up, "We're getting a divorce. Why would you announce our relationship?" On the other end, Charles let out a cold chuckle, clearly annoyed. "When did I ever say I was okay with the divorce?" His response only left her more confused. She had no idea what he was thinking or what he actually wanted. She didn't say anything, going quiet on the line. Charles didn't let the silence stretch for long and asked, "Where are you right now?" Almost out of reflex, she replied, "At the Johnson villa." There was a brief pause. Then Charles said, "I'm coming to get you." Once the call ended, Stella stared at her screen, suddenly regretting blurting that out. Why did she just tell him where she was?
