#Chapter 260: My Dinner With Anthony
Ella’s POV
When we pulled up to the doctors’ home, I had to admit it; I’d been expecting some kind of sleek contemporary mansion, perhaps the kind with glass walls and white facades.
I hadn’t been expecting a quaint, kitschy little Victorian house nestled amongst a copse of trees. I also didn’t expect for Tony to open the door before we even knocked, and for a fat orange house cat to come running down the stairs, bell tinkling around its neck, and rub up against our legs.
“Tom! Shoo!” Tony said, waving the cat away. “Sorry about that. I hope you’re not allergic.”
“Not at all,” I replied, watching as the tabby made it up about three steps before he flopped over, exposing his fluffy white belly. A single orange paw darted out from between the balusters and swatted at me as I followed Tony further into the house.
As we stepped into the dining room, even Alexander couldn’t help but put aside his skepticism for a moment to gawk in awe at the fine spread of foo
