Carrie’s Point of View
Time seemed to pass by for everyone else, but it was frozen for me. I blindly saw Lucas’ stalk over to Brigit, and attempt to silence her screaming. However, it raged on. I barely registered that only when he knocked her out completely, did it stop. Once that happened, I partly saw him walking over to me. I didn't stop looking at Jenna's body when he approached, nor did I answer him when he spoke.
A sort of pain resonated in my cheek, but it didn't register in my mind. Not like the pain I felt when I looked at Jenna. The pain continued, growing hotter and more fierce until it seemed to consume my body, but one again, I didn't care.
I sensed Lucas directly in front of me, perhaps smirking. I felt my chin being lifted up, and my gaze torn away from Jenna. I fought for a few seconds, there was more fire inside of me and kept me going. Without much effort on his part, I was looking into the face of Lucas himself, sneering widely at me.
