Carrie’s Point of View
The small hand grasped the side of the door firmly. I watched in horror as the rest of the body that belonged to the hand appeared. The figure standing before us was small, yet seemed overpowering. Their black hair fell dramatically across their face. Bright brown eyes stared at us menacingly.
"J-Jenna?" I whispered in disbelief, staring at the figure before me. This young girl resembled our deceased friend, but everything about her seemed changed. From the way she carried herself, to the sneer sitting upon her face, this girl was not the same.
I sensed Brigit shift next to me, but I couldn't take my eyes away from the girl before me. Jenna matched my stares, seeming to study me as I was her.
"Hello, Brigit, Carrie." Jenna suddenly spoke.
At her words, Brigit and I couldn’t utter any words. Jenna was dead. We saw it. How can this be? Brigit and I looked at each other.
