My heart sank upon hearing that threat. My eyes widened, and my breath hitched as I listened to how he planned to kill the people who meant so much to me.
‘How dare he!’ Mythril growled in displeasure at my mind.
“You can’t do that, Gabriel,” I said, emphasizing his name.
I called him by his first name, without the honorific Alpha. Even if it was just a small gesture, I clung to the hope that he would see himself as my childhood friend again—rather than the cold-blooded killer disguised as the Alpha he becomes.
I narrowed my eyes at him, but he didn’t flinch. His jaw was tense, and he glared back at me.
“Yes, I can. I am the Alpha,” he said, stepping closer to me.
Hearing his arrogant words, I scoffed. “If being an Alpha makes you this cruel, you should have failed the test back then.”
