Jessica's arrogance had long since been smacked out of her by Samantha. She'd tried the sympathy act, but seeing Samantha's stone-cold face, she instantly knew it wouldn't fly. The room was gone, and now she was really in trouble. Afraid of getting fired by Sophia and losing her cushy job, Jessica ditched the dignity altogether.
