#Chapter 106: Filling In The Gaps

[Evelyn’s POV] My mind was still on the fence about deciding how I really felt about having been kept in the dark regarding Alexander’s true physical state. It bothered me that he didn’t trust me enough to just come out and tell me. There again, he had his reasoning. In the beginning, he and I didn’t know each other that well. But as time went on, he and I had been making decent strides when there weren’t any annoying misunderstandings. Surely, he could have taken the time to discuss everything—especially when we were setting up that whole plan to distract Michael... I could understand why he did it. If I had learned anything since our marriage started, the man possessed a decent group of enemies. So it was certainly more ideal to keep them all thinking that Alexander wasn’t much of a great threat. Perhaps, in certain cases, it was better that I didn’t know the truth. Who knows what would have happened if I’d accidentally let the fact slip out in the middle of a convers
