"Amy, is that really you? I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me." Caleb had spotted someone standing by the roadside from afar earlier. She looked like Amelia, but he had assumed that his eyes were playing tricks on him. He hadn't expected it actually to be her. "Caleb, what are you doing here?" Amelia asked, equally surprised. He explained he happened to be nearby on some business. "Get in the car. It's far too hot out here." As he spoke, he opened the front passenger door for her. Amelia thanked him and got in.
