Chapter 104: Temporary Amnesia - Who Am I?
Maya’s POV
I blinked slowly as my eyelids fluttered open, the bright lights blinding me. I felt like I was suffocating underwater. My heart was racing in my chest, and my body ached. My head was pounding, and as I tried to move, my body felt stiff, like it was uncooperative.
Where was I? How did I even get to this place?
I did not recognize it nor recall how I had gotten here. My mind was blank, like a fresh piece of paper yet to be penned.
“Where am I?” I called out, my voice low and croaky. The room was unfamiliar, with white walls and wooden beams across the ceiling. It was a sterile room that screamed our cleanliness. There was a small window across from the bed I was lying on. It was closed, but the grey-coloured curtains were drawn.
Struggling to sit myself up, a wave of dizziness and nausea hit me. I immediately clutched at my sides and let out a groan.
“Where am I?” I mumbled, but nothing came to my mind. No flashes of my past, no familiar faces. Nothing. It's just an empty can
