The room was pitch-black, unfamiliar, and foreboding. Shadows stretched long and deep, whispering something I couldn't decipher. I stood on the threshold, trembling, the air heavy with a strange mix of dread and sorrow. Before I could react, an invisible force pushed me inside, and the door slammed shut behind me.
