Chapter 8
Willow's POV
The late-night sky in Stravia was probably the most gorgeous sight I had ever seen. The clusters of stars looked like diamonds dotted amongst the dark sky.
It was hauntingly beautiful.
I was dressed in my thick expedition clothes due to the sub-zero temperatures and had just ended a whole day of recording the icebergs' paths throughout the ocean.
When I looked up, exhausted, the starry night sky leaped into my line of sight.
I couldn't help but stay outside for a little while longer.
Whenever I was alone, I tried not to think too much.
However, on days like today, I couldn't help but think about the past, which made my heart ache ever so slightly.
When I thought about the fact that the two people I loved the most could finally be together with nothing in their way, I couldn't help but smile again.
They no longer had to worry about my weak stomach. They could go and enjoy all the spicy food they wanted.
They also didn't have to waste their days away at the library
