Eileen's POV I woke up to the soft creak of floorboard and the low hum of voices. My body felt like it had been torn open and clumsily stitched back together. Every inch of me ached—a dull, burning pain that radiated from the bite on my shoulder to the very tips of my fingers. My eyelids fluttered open slowly, heavy like iron curtains.
