Eileen's POV
In minutes, we laid there, catching our breath, Arthur held me close, comforting me with a gentle stroke of my hair. I felt at peace finally and I knew that I was exactly where I was meant to be. The warmth of his body, the beat of his heart, and the gentle caress of his fingers all combined to create a sense of security and comfort that I had never known before. I felt like I was home, like I had finally found the place where I belonged.
"Eileen?" He mumbled and I snuggled deeper into him.
"Hmm?" I groaned out and he pulled up, I was confused and looked up at him.
"Is anything wrong?" I asked him seeing how he looked like he wanted to say something to me. His eyes darted around nervously for a moment before he shook his head.
"No, not exactly, nothing's wrong" he said but I could tell something wasn't really right.
