Actually, it wasn't the wedding that was still on Celestia's mind like Victoria assumed. What she really couldn't stop thinking about was how heartless she'd been to Ethan moments ago. She had no idea if he'd made it back yet-or if he was still out there waiting.
Just as that thought was giving her a headache, Victoria called her again.
"Celestia?"
"Huh?" She snapped back to reality and looked up, realizing everyone was staring at her. Worried she'd missed something important, she forced a smile and asked, "Yes, Mom? What's up?"
"Oh, nothing major," Victoria replied, visibly relieved to see her respond. "I just wanted to ask when your check-up is this month. I'd love to come with you."
"My check-up?" Celestia blinked, quickly flipping through her mental calendar.
"Oh, it's the day after tomorrow."
"The fifth?" Victoria's expression froze for a second, then turned anxious. "Oh no, that's the day Jareth's dad and I have an appointment."
"It's fine, I can go alone," Celestia replied light
