Nancy kicked the bearded guy straight across the floor, then grabbed Theodore by the collar, dragging him toward a safer spot.
“Nancy! I can handle them—just go!” Theodore shouted, his voice tight with worry.
Without even glancing back, Nancy snapped, “Shut it! You’re not even fully healed yet, Dad!”

“You didn’t use to be like this,” Nancy growled, clearly mad. “You always used to listen to me! But now, you don’t even care that I’m terrified something’s gonna happen to you!”
