I sat there quietly, listening to Logan and Ethan as they gave their updates.
The whole time, my fingers tapped a steady rhythm on the table, almost like they had a mind of their own.
Ella must’ve boarded by now—I hadn’t heard a peep from her since.
“Alpha Oliver?” Ethan asked, his brows knitted with concern. “Are you okay?”
He looked at me, serious as always, but there was worry in his eyes.
I loosened my tie and sat up straighter. “I’m fine, Ethan. Go on with your report.”
Ethan nodded respectfully and continued, not pressing me further even though I was clearly distracted.
Only Logan saw through it all. He stood next to me, arms crossed, his face unreadable but clearly not impressed.
Once the report finally wrapped up, Ethan left quickly to check on the Deltas.
Logan stayed behind, and this time he didn’t hold back.
