In her past life, she'd only heard the rumors about the elusive second son of the Hilliard family-ruthless, razor-sharp, and someone who picked partners purely on his mood. She'd never once seen the man in person.
She was squinting hard, trying to make out who the big shot was, when her wrist was suddenly yanked-hard.
Before she could react, she was dragged out of the crowd by an unrelenting force.

Without a word, he pulled her into an empty lounge nearby, pinned her against the wall, and stared down at her, his expression so dark it was practically suffocating.
