A soft, sweet scent suddenly hit him as she fell into his arms, making Conrad's tall frame freeze on instinct.
Out of the corner of his eye, the door of the Maybach swung open, and a couple stepped out.
Conrad raised an eyebrow, let go of the suitcase handle, and instinctively slipped an arm around her waist.
He didn't use much force, but it still pulled her snug against his chest.
Through the fabric, his toned chest muscles were clearly defined.
Calliope's face instantly burned.
Lucien was taking luggage from the trunk when a hand gently hooked into the crook of his arm.
"Lucien, that girl kinda looks like Calliope from the back."
Lucien followed her gaze.
Just one glance and he looked away, his expression flat.
"That's not her."
No one knew Calliope better than he did.
He knew her style, her quirks.
Her clothes were always in soft pastels-pinks and whites. Even her suitcase was a delicate sakura pink.
She would never wear all black, not even her luggage.
