"Clinton?" Madeleine let out a cold chuckle. "On what grounds is he walking back into the Beach Group?"
She didn't see Clinton as any real threat.
Dalton nodded. "Exactly. He's not Stanton's son—technically, he has no inheritance rights."
Madeleine stood up and looked directly at Dalton. "What about Francis Coleman? Has he made any moves lately?"
"Samuel saw him just yesterday. But Francis was slick this time—went in hiding. He wasn't planning on being noticed at all," Dalton reported. "Even the sighting seemed staged."
Madeleine frowned. "Looks like Francis can't be trusted anymore."
The company couldn't afford to babysit a ticking bomb. She had to deal with Francis—soon.
Letting him stay on in the first place had clearly been a mistake.
"How are the projects under his wing coming along?" she asked, fixing her eyes on Dalton. "There's gotta be something we can pin on him, right?"
Dalton took a deep breath. "He's good... annoyingly good. Performance-wise, he's almost spotless. No fault
