Chapter 9

Suzy pushed her away mercilessly. Seeing that Yuna was about to hug her again, Suzy said angrily, "Don't rub your sweat all over me." Yuna smiled as she stood next to her and whispered in her ear, "Leonard is here, do you know?" "I know." Suzy lowered her head, squeezing the glass of juice in her hand. "When did you find out?" Suzy smiled, and just when she was about to answer Yuna, a cold male voice suddenly came from behind her, "Come out, let's talk." Yuna was usually a feisty woman behind Leonard's back, but once she really meets him in person, she has no fight in her at all. "Oh, Mica is calling me. I'll leave you two to talk." With that, she left immediately, leaving Suzy alone with Leonard, who was holding back his anger. Far away from the scene, Yuna looked back and saw Leonard's dark face. She couldn't help but feel guilty for abandoning Suzy. Oh, my God, Leonard doesn't beat woman, right? Yuna asked herself. Suzy looked at Leonard in front of her and smiled. "Okay." She curled her lips, followed him out of the club, and they stood under the light on the side of the road. As soon as Suzy got off the stage, her hair was a little messy, her cheeks were slightly flushed, and her alluring eyes looked at him with a slight smile. Under the dimly yellow street lamp, Leonard discovered that today's Suzy was inexplicably a little bit more outgoing than before. After three years of marriage, he seldom paid attention to her. Leonard felt that it would be a waste of his time to look at a woman who worshipped money, but once or twice, when he went back to Xu's house and glanced quickly, her eyes have always been gentle and soft. But now, she looked at him coldly and casually. "What does Mr. Xu want to say?" Leonard was even more irritable, and said meanly, "Since we are divorced, it has nothing to do with me whoever you're with. Your ex-husband doesn't have any say in it, I know, but we just divorced this morning. Even though you don't care about my reputation, I still don't want my competency as a husband be put into question." Suzy was splashed with cold water again. Her heart sighed as she raised her hand to touch the long hair on the side of her face. "But what can I do? I can't stop someone from chasing me, Mr. Xu." She chuckled as she spoke, "If it's this matter you're worried about, you don't have to. During the three years of our marriage, I have done nothing but honor my in-laws and take care of housework for the Xu family every day. Instead of worrying that others would think I cheated on you because you're incompetent, you might as well be worried about the Xu family's reputation for all the abuse and damage they've caused me. How will you marry a well-known lady in the future if this gets out?" Having already wasted three years of her life, Suzy didn't want to waste a second more on Leonard. "On that day, I told your secretary, Francis, to tell you that we should be strangers to each other from now on." She glanced at Leonard, and the corners of her lips twitched slightly, it was as if she was mocking him. Suzy turned around and walked back to the nightclub. Leonard stood under the street lamp with a gloomy face. Looking at Suzy's retreating back, he frowned slightly as he suppressed his anger in every possible way. Obviously, she was the one that got them into this situation in the first place, but now she was pretending to be wronged. Leonard thought it was ridiculous. How could she sleep well at night? The phone in his pocket vibrated and Leonard's eyebrows furrowed. He reached out to take out the phone from his pocket. When he saw the caller's name on his screen, his eyes suddenly widened. "Hello?" "Leo, I got into an accident with someone and the other party was so fierce. Can you come over? I'm scared." Zara on the other end of the phone trembled and seemed to cry at any time. Leonard said with a cold face. "I'll tell Francis to go there." "Secretary Liang can also come here, but my brother had also given me the information of that person you asked for today. If it is convenient for you to come here, I will give you the information. Would that be okay, Leo?" Leonard glanced at the colorful neon sign of the nightclub, and was silent for a while. "Where are you?" "I'm at Zhichun Road." "Okay." After hanging up the phone, Leonard did not immediately drive. He entered the nightclub again, and both Xian and Christian were a little surprised when they saw him coming back, and deliberately asked, "Leo, why are you here?" Leonard squinted at them coldly. "Where is Suzy?" Christian touched his nose as he answered, "She's left. A handsome guy came to pick her up." As soon as Christian finished speaking, Leonard's face turned sour. He remained silent, turned and left the nightclub. "Tsk." Looking at Leonard's back, Xian sighed softly. "They're already divorced, why is he still so unhappy?" Christian shrugged. "Man's strange possessiveness?" "Who knows?" After everything, Leonard realized that he didn't take being betrayed by others so lightly In a black business car. Suzy rubbed her temples, and Yuna handed her two glasses of cocktails. She didn't pay attention and drank them all at once. At this moment, the wine was strong and tasted a little scratchy. Yuna was wasted in the back seat and was fast asleep. The inside of the car was quiet, and the lights outside the window were fascinating. Suzy remembered the words of Leonard earlier, and her heart felt as if it had been pierced by someone. It turned out he was just afraid of a scandal about his incompetence and realized he didn't care about her. The car first stopped in front of Suzy's villa, and James dropped her off. Suzy waved her hand. "Farewell, and take good care of your Yuna." James smiled. "Sorry if she caused you any trouble. You really can't stop her from fooling around, am I right?" Suzy glared at him irritably. "It's all right. You guys should disappear from my eyes now. I just got divorced today and it's annoying to see couples." "Then we won't trouble your eyes any longer."
