Wade's POV I thought she had forgiven me. She added me back to the palm reader on the house, so I assumed things were okay. Why did she leave like that? My heart already felt like it was breaking, but I wanted to fix this. I thought we could talk through everything. Hearing voices downstairs, I rushed down, desperate to catch Maya before she left. She might be my only hope of getting my mate back. “Maya, do you know where the village your mother used to live is?” I asked without preamble. I didn’t have time for small talk. “No, she was going to take me this morning. But things didn’t go as planned. She’ll show me soon, but I don’t know where it is right now. Why?
