Lauren's POV Just minutes earlier, I had noticed Ciara arrive with Ashton and Gabriel by her side. Meliza and I were the only ones facing them, so the rest of the group had not realized we were no longer alone. Ashton had heard enough of what had been said and he was furious. At the sound of his voice, the girls spun around, startled to find him standing there. “I would say that’s the least of the punishment you deserve for what you just said about your Luna,” Ashton said coldly. “We didn’t say anything wrong,” the first girl insisted, trying to recover. “We were just concerned that you had been spelled. Is it wrong to worry about our Alpha and our pack?” Ashton stepped forward, his expression hard. “Elena, it’s not wrong to be concerned. But that’s not what I heard. What I heard was you attacking your Luna, slandering her.” “We’re entitled to our opinions,” the second girl snapped, completely unapologetic. “They are rogues, and we don’t trust them.
