Rita's POV I grabbed my keys and headed straight for the gate. I had to leave the pack to make this call, to make sure no one overheard me. I wasn’t going to let someone else swoop in and take Ashton from me again. No. Not this time. Once I was far enough, I pulled up the directory and searched for Alpha Damien. I found the listing for the Blackwood Pack and dialed. My heart pounded as the phone rang. This was it. A man answered. “Blackwood Pack. Who are you calling for?” I almost snapped at him. Who else would someone call looking for in this pack? Still, I forced myself to sound calm, even confident. “I’d like to speak with Alpha Damien,” I said clearly.
