Where Did My Paycheck Go?

Since the company's taking a well-deserved break on New Year, my boss, Justine Shaw, tags everyone in the company's group chat and tells them to check their accounts for their latest salaries. Unfortunately, I'm the only one who has yet to receive my salary. When Justine finds out about it, she doesn't seem to mind at all. After ensuring that there's nothing wrong with my bank account, she transfers me my salary once again. But weirdly enough, I don't receive the money at all. My colleagues refuse to believe me. Thankfully, Justine is willing to make one more transaction in front of us. She lets us witness the entire process as well. Still, I have yet to receive the salary. My colleagues grow furious on Justine's behalf. They admonish me for being a scammer who wants to swindle money from the company before throwing me out. Alas, the moment I leave the company, I get run over by a truck and die on the spot. Even as I breathe my last, I still don't understand what happened. The transaction process is fine, but why can't I receive my salary at all? When I open my eyes again, I've returned to the day I receive my salary.
