Owen's deep, unreadable gaze sharpened with a hint of surprise. "Orange Crest Auction House? Is it Nathan?"
"Yes, it's Nathan," Thomas confirmed. "It was done under a veil of secrecy—so discreet that even the Black League may not know about it. Apparently, Gabe had placed an order for an engagement ring at a local jeweler in Southernia. It was said he intended to propose to the woman he loved. But we weren't able to track down her identity."
