"Aurora, you might have to eat on your own. We have a patient in our department who just had surgery this morning and is experiencing an emergency. His attending physician isn't around, so I have to go back and check on him. We'll reschedule for next time," said Helena.
Putting down her cup, Aurora glanced at the watch on her wrist and stood up.
"Let's leave together, then."
With that, they quickly left the restaurant.
Outside the restaurant, the city lights had just started to come on. As soon as they walked out of the restaurant, a chill immediately swept over them. There was a faint hint of dampness in the air.
Aurora looked up.
Under the pitch-black sky, the rain was falling gently. "It's raining."
"Aurora, I have to hurry. I'll contact you later!" Helena exclaimed.
"Okay, let's go. I'll see you to the car," Aurora said and walked toward the roadside under the tree.
