"Where are you? The Thomson deal is falling apart."
Logan stared at the message, a strange calm settling over him. In that moment, he realized how skewed his priorities had been. The deals, the money, the power games – none of it mattered compared to the woman fighting for her life upstairs.
He typed out a quick reply: "At the hospital. Deonna's been in an accident. I'm where I need to be."
