CHAPTER NINETY SIX – SOMETHING IS FISHY
Logan braced himself, expecting another round of criticism. But to his surprise, Craig's next words caught him off guard.
"I've been looking over the numbers again, and... well, I think you might be onto something here."
Logan blinked, not quite sure he had heard correctly. "I'm sorry, could you repeat that?"
Craig chuckled, some of the tension leaving his shoulders. "Don't make me say it again, Maine. Your idea has merit. It's risky, sure, but the potential payoff... it could be exactly what we need to get back on top."
A slow smile spread across Logan's face. "Thank you, Craig. That... that means a lot coming from you."
As Craig left his office, Logan leaned back in his chair, a sense of accomplishment washing over him. It wasn't a complete victory, but it was progress. Slowly but surely, he was rebuilding his reputation, regaining the trust of his colleagues.
