Since the day Lucas confessed to Clara out of the blue, her attitude toward their marriage had changed completely. Lucas had saved her twice, once five years ago and once again just recently. The circumstances were strikingly similar both times, and she'd only survived the crises because of him. So, she had no right to be dissatisfied. She was the one who wronged him first. No matter what he did to her, it was understandable. Lucas took Clara to the Sable residence and personally introduced her to his family members, declaring her his wife. She could tell that the Sables were deeply displeased with her as Lucas' wife, but they didn't dare to show it. Later, Lucas made her status as his wife public and openly took her to various social events. Everyone praised them for being a perfect, loving couple. Clara tried her best to play the role of a devoted wife. Sometimes, even she couldn't tell whether her feelings were genuine or just an act. A month later, she saw the news of Sebasti
