Cedric's speculation made me question my initial assumptions.
If Bruce had arranged the photos to be sent, he only needed to get revenge for himself. Why would he make Cedric apologize to me? That didn't make sense.
"This is just your speculation, Mr. Mason. I can't trouble Mr. Harold based on an assumption," I muttered cautiously. "Do you have any evidence to support this?"
Cedric sighed. "Think about it, Ms. Fisher. In Joddesdon and Saza, who else could dig up dirt about me overnight? You can call and ask him if you don't believe me."
I was surprised. "Now?"
"Yes, I don't want to drag this out any longer." Cedric looked at me warily and sighed. "Who am I supposed to seek justice from once I leave here?"
So Cedric was afraid that we wouldn't take the blame.
I was troubled. "Mr. Harold isn't someone we can just meet whenever we want. Mr. Mason—"
"No problem. I'm not in a rush." Cedric cut me off and leaned back on the couch. "It's still early. I can wait."
