Bethany hadn't told Silas about the matter, unwilling to owe him any more than she already did. Nor did she want to rely on this seemingly omnipotent man every time she ran into trouble.
She pressed her lips together, deep in thought, and after a pause said quietly over the phone, "Thank you. I understand."
