Knox’s POV
“Squad 1 and 2 can take the long route, circling all the way to here…” I instructed, pointing at the map before me. “While squad 3 and 4 can move up along this route.”
We were in the middle of a meeting, using the results of the tracking spell to narrow down where Aria might be.
The tracking spell hadn't been as successful as we wanted it to be. After Hazel was done with the tracking spell, all we got was a vague location.
It wasn't enough, but it was better than nothing. So all we needed to do was find a way to get Aria's specific location.
The plan was to scout around the location from the tracking spell quietly, without drawing attention. No one knew if that plan would work, but it was all we had at that moment.
A sharp pain pierced through my chest as I was speaking.
I froze mid-sentence, inhaling sharply. My hands gripped the conference table so tight that it creaked. My jaw clenched as a more intense wave of pain ripped through my veins.
