Aria’s POV
A sharp chill ran down my spine. All my senses screamed that something was wrong. I tensed slightly from where I sat, but I didn’t open my eyes. The garden was silent, too silent.
‘Run!’ Jade’s voice yelled in my head. I didn’t even have the time to be grateful that I could hear her voice again.
The air shifted, the hair on my skin rose, and I dived to the other side of the fountain with a yelp as something sliced the air, just inches from where I had been.
The sharp sound of something sharp hitting the fountain caused a chill to run down my spine as I hit the floor hard, covering my stomach protectively.
My heart pounded against my ribs, and my breath caught in my throat. I looked up frantically, trying to understand what was going on.
Had Raven finally snapped and decided she would kill me, damn the consequences?
But as my vision cleared, the figure came into focus, and my breath caught as my eyes locked on the person standing calmly a few feet away.
