Michelle moved toward the sofa slowly, as though she were a child who had done something wrong. She glanced at Daniel, who was sitting silently with his face covered, then turned her gaze to Stephen. After a long pause, she spoke cautiously, "Honey, please stop crying. I came back to tell you some good news." Stephen realized Michelle had returned when he heard her voice. He didn't want to look like a pathetic mess in front of his wife, so he wiped his tears and gave her a mocking smile. "What good news could we possibly have in the family now?" "Demi has been discharged from the hospital. Before leaving, she went to see Alex. She'll be starting treatment for him soon," Michelle said, looking at Stephen with a slightly apologetic expression. "That's good," Stephen replied, his face showing little surprise as he nodded. He knew that once Demi made a vow, she would follow through and treat Alex. While it didn't feel like great news, it did make Stephen feel slightly better. "Did
