In Melody's mind, Cheryl was watching her, her gaze cold and distant.
"You don't deserve to be my sister at all," Cheryl said, her eyes fixed on her.
Melody kept shaking her head, murmuring, "No. That's not it. It's not what you think!"
She had no idea that in reality, her expression was frozen due to the sheer fear of the illusion her mind had conjured.
Eventually, she could do nothing but curl up into a ball and tightly clutch her knees, trying to block out the haunting voices.
But it was no use. The tighter her grip was, the more deafening the voices became. She even saw Krystal and Cheryl manifesting before her, condemning her for being an ungrateful hypocrite.
Outside, the moonlight was faint and pale.
Melody wobbled as she got out of bed, the last vestiges of her consciousness desperately clinging on to reality.
