Chapter 12 The Will
The moment Ian saw the words "divorce agreement" on the document, his body swayed. His legs nearly gave out as he slammed a fist into the desk, barely managing to keep himself upright.
Then, his anger twisted into a hollow laugh. "So that's how it is, Sophia. You tricked me!"
Ian rarely let his real emotions show, especially in front of others. Yet over the past few days, she'd angered him again and again.
In a sudden burst of fury, he tore the divorce papers to shreds. Like a beast whose territory had been invaded, he trashed the entire office.
Even the wedding photo he wiped down himself every single day, never allowing anyone else to touch it, was hurled to the floor.
The glass frame shattered instantly. Cracks spread across their faces in the photo, winding and jagged, just like their marriage.
"Get out. All of you, get out!"
Standing amid the wreckage, Ian felt irritation burn in his chest. He still couldn't believe she had truly divorced him.
