Clarissa spoke before Ian could react.
"I really don't get it, Ian. Why did you fall in love with such an unsophisticated woman? How exactly is she better than Sophia? She's not at all worthy of being your wife, let alone becoming a member of the Sheffield family."
Her gaze was filled with disappointment and confusion. "In my eyes, Sophia is the only person I acknowledge as worthy of being your wife and my in-law. If you insist on marrying this woman, then consider us strangers from now on.
