Chapter 1182
Since Xander did not visit his grandmother much these days, he had missed her lemon gelatin. The one he had today tasted just like hers. Then he looked at Abigail. Her eyes lit up, and she smiled big at him. That smile made him feel so good he forgot what he wanted to say next.
Abigail leaned in closer and whispered, "Doesn't this lemon gelatin taste just like your grandma's?"
Xander nodded with a smile. "Exactly like hers."
Abigail beamed. "I called up your grandma this morning for the recipe. Made it just how she told me. Pretty spot-on, huh?"
Xander chuckled. "Absolutely."
Abigail grinned. "Thanks. Means a lot!"
Johann, with a hint of jealousy, said, "You missed our breakfast because you were on the phone all morning. Was it for this gelatin?"
Abigail explained, "I wasn't trying to avoid breakfast, Grandpa. I had to carefully squeeze the lemons and strain the juice multiple times to make sure the gelatin had the perfect flavor, and it took longer than I thought."
