Louise Bennett noticed Dominic Ellis staring at her and nervously tugged at her skirt. "Why are you looking at me like that? Do I look weird? Should I go change?"
Dominic quickly stood up. "No need. You look great. I just kind of zoned out for a second."
Louise hadn’t expected him to be so blunt. Her ears turned bright red, and she didn’t know what to say.
Seeing her all flustered, Dominic couldn’t help but chuckle. He reached out, grabbed her hand, and said, “Come on, let’s head out.”
Louise gave a small nod and let him hold her hand. She didn’t pull away.
At the supermarket, they grabbed wonton wraps and ground meat. Dominic then led her around the aisles, encouraging her to pick out anything she liked.
He had known the old Louise well. But since her memory loss, she seemed like a different person—different style, different tastes. A walk through the store was a good way for him to learn what this version of her liked.
