Chapter 74: The Prom
A few weeks before prom, Hannah, Julie, and I finally ripped off the Band-aid and went dress shopping. To say it was stressful was an understatement.
"Do we need to go to five different stores?" Julie whined.
"Yes! We need to find the perfect dressed ever, obviously," Hannah said with an extra pep in her step.
"It's not like we will ever wear them again!" Julie protested, and I couldn't help but laugh.
I want to find a great dress, preferably affordable since my price range was basically nothing for prom dresses. Chase offered to buy mine, but I wouldn't let that happen.
"I will go anywhere you want me to, but I do want to check out some thrift stores too," I said. It was Hannah's turn to whine.
"Girl, you are not going to find a magnificent dress there! That's where clothes go to die," she said with a frown.
Julie looked astonished at this statement, but I understood Hannah.
